Garage Door Roller Maintenance Riverside, Ca.

Keeping the garage door rollers, rolling.

Keeping your garage door on track and running smoothly can be easy as 1, 2, 3! Absolute Garage Doors in Riverside, CA (951) 801-2558, is very helpful when it comes to lube and tuning your garage door. Every roll-up garage door should be able to open and close smoothly. The garage door has about 5-6 rollers on each side that run on a track. If there is debris or dirt or anything else obstructing the path and or the roller from rolling, the garage door could become stuck, off track, or start to tear. The hinges hold the roller in place in the door, and the end of the roller fits in the groove of the track. There are two types of garage door rollers. Plastic (black), and more of an upgrade there is Neoprene ball bearing rollers (white). The rollers help the garage door open and close the smooth and quietly. They can be exchanged for better maintenance on the door. The neoprene ball bearing rollers are able to be lubed with white lithium grease. A technician can do it, and show customers how it can be done. At Absolute Garage Doors in Riverside, CA, 951-801-2558, can schedule an appointment to have a technician sent out to a customer’s house, show, explain, and perform garage door roller maintenance.

DYI, customers will take our easy 1,2,3 step process.

#1) Make sure the tracks are cleared in and around. No objects hanging off shelves, nothing sticking out into the track that can damage the door or the track.

#2) Open and close door manually. A few times open and close the door. See if all the rollers are rotating and be sure the door is rolling smoothly.

#3) Apply white lithium grease into bearings. This step can only apply to the (white) neoprene ball bearing rollers. The plastic rollers have no bearings to grease. This step is a little tricky and is advised to call Absolute Garage Doors in Riverside, ca at 951-801-2558 to learn how to do it first. Many customers are taught and can do it forever now. Just be sure to ONLY spray the bearings NOT THE GARAGE DOOR TRACK!
